Learn about native plant propagation at the Friends of Sausal Creek Native Plant Nursery, located in the beautiful Oakland hills in Joaquin Miller Park. Activities include transplanting seedlings, washing pots, pruning plants, and maintaining the nursery facilities. Please wear layers and a sun hat. We will provide all tools, instructions, water, and a snack.
Please contact nursery staff at nursery@sausalcreek.org to RSVP.
To volunteer, please sign and bring both the FOSC and City of Oakland Waiver forms. Anyone under 18 will also need a parental signature on both forms. These forms are valid for up to a year after signing for any FOSC program.

Directions: To get to the nursery, take Hwy 13 to Joaquin Miller Rd. Take Joaquin Miller Rd. towards the hills and make a left on Sanborn (Robinson Dr. will be on your right). Drive past the ranger station and community center on your left, and park along Sanborn before the yellow gate with the green and white JMPN Nursery sign (there is also a dog park sign on the left), or in one of the surrounding parking lots. Walk in past the yellow gate and stay to the left, following nursery signs. The nursery will be on your left, about a 5 minute walk. The closest address is the ranger station at 3594 Sanborn Rd, Oakland, 94602 (do not follow Google Map directions as they will lead you to a road that isn't open).
