For many of our students, finding transportation is often their biggest concern. Braille Institute's Santa Barbara Center is seeking volunteer drivers to transport our blind and visually impaired students to and from our center for classes. Volunteers must a valid driver's license, have a good driving record and be 21 years old or over. Volunteers will drive Braille Institute owned vehicles and be covered by Braille Institute Insurance. Volunteer drivers are needed from 8 to 10 a.m. and from 2 to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Description
Braille Institute offers a variety of services to people who are blind and visually impaired, from mobility and technology training, to low vision rehabilitation and home visits, to arts and exercise classes, to a vast library of braille and audio titles for every age, and more. Each year, we help tens of thousands of people regain and maintain their independence. Thanks to generous donations, Braille Institute services are available free of charge.
