Tail Wagger's 1990 is looking for dedicated volunteers for our Cat Adoption Center at the Livonia and Westland Petco stores. It requires an hour or two of your time, depending how long you would like to spend time with the kitties, one day every other week between the hours of 5:30-9, or mornings one day a week between 9- noon. We will be flexible with either work or school schedules! Duties include cleaning the cages, scooping out the litter, filling food/ water bowls, and most importantly socializing with the kitties and giving them extra love and playtime! We also need temporary fosters, volunteers on Saturdays for adoption events and transporters for spay/neuter apts. Tail Wagger’s 1990 is committed to helping people help animals. It is our ultimate goal to be able to support dedicated pet owners who are in need of assistance along with providing necessary funding for those animals in emergency situations.
Description
A name in the community for 30 years, Tail Wagger’s 1990 is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that focuses on affordable preventative pet care, community help and assistance, and the welfare of animals.
We do not charge an office or exam fee and ANYONE of ANY income level can use our services - there is no need to qualify!
The Wellness Center services include: vaccinations, heart worm testing & preventative, flea/tick treatments, FIV/FeLv testing, nail trims, fecal tests, anal glands, etc.
The Pantry 4 Paws Pet Food Assistance Program provides temporary relief for those pet owners that have fallen on a challenging time and find it difficult to afford food for their animals. The Pantry 4 Paws is feeding hundreds of animals every month and we insure that no animal goes to sleep hungry at night!
