Meals on Wheels/Nourish Volunteer at Vivalon!
Vivalon's Mission advances independence, health, and quality of life for older adults and people with disabilities.
In June 2023, Vivalon delivered over 12,000 meals to homebound older adults or people of any age with chronic health challenges.
Vivalon can only accomplish this with the support of volunteers. With over 50 volunteers donating 600 + hours of service, Vivalon can sustain the Marin Meals on Wheels program.
There are morning (9:00 am-12:00 pm) and afternoon routes (1:00 pm-4:00 pm). Each route takes approximately 3 hours. Mileage reimbursement is available.
Driver requirements are 18 and over with a having had their license for at least 2 years.

Description
Vivalon's Active Aging Center at 930 Tamalpais Ave in San Rafael provides delicious meals, educational classes, multicultural gatherings, and information and referral services. Vivalon also offers special needs transportation, such as trips to medical appointments and grocery stores, as well as delivering meals for homebound clients. Vivalon is looking for dedicated, caring, and fun-loving volunteers!
We offer volunteer opportunities driving for the Meals on Wheels program and our CarePool program (where volunteers use their own cars to bring individuals to Drs. appointments or grocery shopping). We also have opportunities for outgoing volunteers to help in the Jackson Cafe.
