We are accepting interns and service learners here at the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Western Reserve we accept volunteers YEAR ROUND!
There are two areas of concentration to experience Development and/or Programming.
Development: Interns are supervised by the fundraising and marketing department. We ask the interns/service learners are currently enrolled in courses based off of one of the following concentrations
Typical Hours/ Flexible : Mondays - Friday 9:00am-5:00pm (Year Round)
Communications
Advertising
Marketing
Public Relations
Non-Profit Studies
Programming: Interns are supervised by the Programming Department. We ask the interns/service learners are currently enrolled in courses based off of one of the following concentrations
Child and Family Development
Human Development and Family Studies
Criminal Justice
Education
Family and Consumer Science
Social Work
Counseling
Psychology
Sociology
Our typical internships range from 150-300 hours, and our service learners range from 20-50 hours. But, we are always flexible.
Typical Hours/Flexible: Mondays- Fridays 9:00am-5:00pm
Typical Hours/Flexible: Mondays- Fridays 1:00pm-7:00pm

Description
The Boys and Girls Clubs of the Western Reserve serves children ages 5-18. We serve children year round, with our summer and our after-school programs. We also offer programming during the school year through outreach sites in Barberton. Our programming offers development for youth in the Arts, Information Technology, Sports and Recreation, Education, Career, Health and Life Skills, among other areas. Our goal is to help our members achieve Educational Success, Good Character and Leadership, and Healthy Lifestyles through programs that provide fun with a purpose.
