Kick back, relax, and work with your hands out in San Diego's premium Japanese garden! Assist our gardening staff with simple tasks such as weeding, watering, raking paths, and cleaning leaves, as well as participating in occasional group gardening projects. Garden assistants will have the opportunity to learn more about Japanese garden design, the plants in the garden, and the history of the JFG.
Long-term volunteers are preferred, though short-term volunteers are also accepted (Minimum 3 month). All experience levels welcome - even no experience!
Please note that the Japanese Friendship Garden does not accept court-ordered community service hours. Thank you for your understanding.
