Would you like to enable a family to make a difference in the Early Head Start Program?


Do you like to see smiles & giggles?

Head Start Policy Council is a community and parent driven council that aids in the development of Head Start policies and procedures. As the Head Start Parents participate in this council, their children are learning and playing in our amazing socialization room.

Monthly meeting are; January through December. We are in need of a minimum of 2 volunteers on the 4th Monday of each month. This room is filled to the brim with fun games and educational toys to keep children's attention and aid in learning. This is a perfect opportunity for Sororities, Fraternities, Church groups or businesses to give back to the amazing families we serve.

Volunteer hours would be from 4:45-7:15 on Dec 19th, Jan 16th, Feb 20th, March 20th, April 17th, May 15th, June 19th, July 17th, Aug 21st, Sept 18th, Oct 16th, 2017.

Established in 1965, Community Action Partnership of Lancaster and Saunders Counties Community Action empowers people living in poverty to reach economic stability. We offer 16 unique programs to ensure that everyone, regardless of their economic situation, has the opportunity to thrive.

Last year, Community Action served 17,805 individuals and families. Our high-quality early childhood education programs ensure that our community's most vulnerable children are ready for kindergarten, and more likely to graduate from high school. Families learn and save in our matched savings program as they work to purchase their first home, launch or expand a business, or continue their education. At Community Action, individuals build their skills in orer to acheive meaningful employment. We offer the critical next steps in establishing and maintaining long-term economic stability.

Our participants are remarkable people. They take responsibility for making lasting changes in their lives by making use of their own unique strengths. As a result, they are better able to manage their living situations, and make positive steps toward economic stability.
