United Hebrew - a five-star nursing home and rehab facility in New Rochelle, NY- has a rehabilitation department affiliated with the nationally-renown Burke Rehabilitation Center. We are currently looking for mature, responsible, and, preferably, long-term volunteers who would be able to assist with transporting residents to and from rehabilitation activities. We are especially interested in WEEKEND VOLUNTEERS who would be available Saturday and Sunday 9:30AM to 3:30PM. This role is crucial in helping our rehab residents get better faster and keep our amazing rehab staff on schedule! Join us in this rewarding role, and you will get to work with truly compassionate, hard-working, and FUN people! You will get to see how your efforts can have a direct effect on people's lives! You will also get to work side by side with our rehabilitation experts that will allow you to gain valuable experience. We look forward to hearing from you!

Description
Known for its caring and nurturing environment, United Hebrew has been serving the Westchester metropolitan area since 1919 when it began as a small frame house to provide care for nine elderly Jewish men. Today, United Hebrew works with over 600 clients daily through its rich array of skilled and community-based programs and services, embracing the changing needs of our clients every step of the way.
