Are you handy with tools? Would you like to feel good about contributing to your community? Council on Aging of Buncombe County has the perfect volunteer opportunity for you. We are looking for individuals that can assist seniors with minor home repair and yard maintenance needs to remain independent and safe in their homes. Home repairs vary depending on the specific skills of each volunteer. this includes, but is not limited to, leaky sinks, installation of hand rails, replacement of weather stripping and porch and step repair, wheelchair ramps and simple plumbing projects.

Description
The Council on Aging (COA) is a nonprofit organization that provides services to individuals age 60 and older. COA provides personal, caring support and assistance with the challenges of growing older. We provide referrals and help in learning the Medicare system, staying healthy and independent at home, and support for caregivers.
