We are seeking v eterans to facilitate virtual pinning ceremonies for hospice patients who are also v eterans.
The goal of this program is to publicly acknowledge the military service and sacrifices made by the veteran and his/her family. The ceremony gives an opportunity for each veteran to share part of his or her story. By doing so, a sense of meaning and purpose can be gained by the veteran.
Pinning ceremonies are virtual or can be f ace-to-face, if COVID guidelines are safely followed.

Description
When life expectancy is limited, AccentCare Fairview Hospice staff and volunteers help patients and caregivers focus on improving the quality of their remaining days. Hospice provides medical, emotional, social and spiritual care. We bring these services to the familiar setting of patients' own homes whenever possible. The same kind of care may also be given at a long-term care site, a group home, an assisted living site or a residential hospice.
