Drivers ONLY (during the COVID-19 crisis) with a car needed to deliver food on Saturday mornings.

Please register to volunteer with us: tinyurl.com/foodforalldc

Let us know if you can help - email us at graeme@foodforalldc.org

The health of our clients and volunteers is our absolute top priority so (if you do drive for us) please adhere to these rules:

  • Stay in your car - pull up into the alley behind the church and we'll allocate you a route if available
  • We will load your trunk with bags
  • Please bring sanitizer and wipes if at all possible while delivering - use them after EVERY delivery
  • Knock and leave bags at apartment/house doors - call ahead if at all possible to let clients know you will be doing this
  • Do not interact directly with clients or other residents in buildings - especially elevators and corridors
  • We can provide surgical gloves and some wipes

Our program runs almost every Saturday from 9am (sharp) where we prepare and pack boxes of groceries which we then deliver to our clients. The packing only takes around 45mins-1hr and then volunteers (who bring their cars and are able to drive) are assigned routes. Other volunteers can sign up as navigators and help drivers on deliveries. Routes normally contain between 6-8 deliveries and take about 1-2 hours.
