What you get to do is be the "go to" person in putting together and running the Taste of Hyde Park, which is the main fundraiser.
You also get to bring your new ideas to board meetings, which are not drab at all. Even better, you get to put them into action.
It’s not a large time commitment. Our board meets on the third Monday of the month. The April weeks leading up to the Taste are a little busier, but we all chip in.
Here is the official job description:
The fundraising chairperson seeks ways of funding the ministry of the Project. Works on special events for the organization and solicits special collections within congregations, as well as encouraging donations or grants from individuals, corporations, foundations, businesses, or government sources. Leads and coordinates the Taste of Hyde Park.
