Life's WORC runs a program in Bay Shore for kids on the autism spectrum called Making Connections. This is a a fun program where we need volunteers to assist with reception, set up and playing with the program participants. This program runs every other Saturday from 11 am - 2 pm. We are seeking a commitment of at least one school year. Please contact Roseann at rgertler@lifesworc.org for more details.

Our mission is to provide services that facilitate an independent life experience for individuals with developmental disabilities, mental retardation and autism.
Description
Life's WORC is a human service agency advocating for the rights and well being of individuals with developmental disabilities, mental retardation and autism.
Through person centered planning, the organization provides residential services, family supports and 13 non-residential community based programs throughout Queens, Nassau and Suffok Counties.
Programs and services include homes in local communities, Day Habilitation, Weekend Respite Recreation, After School Creative Arts and Music Therapy, Case Management, In-Home Residential Habilitation just to name some of our programs.
