Lend Your Support for People with Disabilities
Volunteers Needed for 41st Annual Corporate & Community Team Challenge
Date: Sunday, May 5, 2019
Location: Beautiful Burke Lake Park - Shelter A
7315 Ox Road, Fairfax Station, VA 22039
We Need You in the Following Ways on Race Day:
Set-up:
5-6 vol., arrive at 6:30am sharp!!
-Setting up our tables, tents, signage
-Carrying water bottles
-Bring your strong muscles!
Some lifting required
Traffic Management Volunteers 6:30am-10am(ish)
5-6 people needed to direct traffic to open parking spaces, and to manage traffic on paved roads during the race.
Water Table volunteers-7am-10am
4-5 Hand water cups to thirsty runners at the end of the race. Great for groups.
Walker Course Volunteers
6-10 vol., from 7am-10:00am
Teams of volunteers stationed at strategic points along the walker's course to protect walkers from vehicle traffic, guide walkers along the course, and cheer on the participants.
Clean-up Volunteers
15 vol., from 10 --11:00am (ish)
-Breaking down tables, tents, signage
-Cleaning up trash, load vechicles
Photographer Assistant 1 vol., be ready at 7am -10:30 (ish)
-Assist professional photographer during team photo time
-Gathering the team mates in the desired location
-Helping with the finish line photography
-Digital camera is preferable
-Great for photography students
