Letter Carrier Food Drive-Volunteer to help pick up food
"Stamp out Hunger" is Saturday May 13 th. Help stock the local food bank and food pantries that provide food to those in need in our local community. We live in a generous community, so much so that many of the letter carrier trucks overflow with food. That is where you come in! Volunteer drivers help make it easier for the letter carrier to distribute mail and lighten their loads. This is a great way to do something with a friend or family member and see the impact this food drive has in helping those less fortunate. Students will receive documentation for school. Volunteers will have a choice of designated Post Office stations to work from, receive signage for their vehicles, route maps and more. Check in time will start at 10:30am or later to coincide with residents placing their food at mailboxes. Those wanting to adopt and drive a route should sign up through the United Way Volunteer Center. Your contribution of time, no matter how long you can help is appreciated.
