  • 55 people are interested

  • As a member of our "Hospice Care Team", you will have the opportunity to provide much needed support and compassion by visiting hospice patients and their family members in their homes, nursing facilities, and/or board & care residences.
  • Veterans--you are needed for our population that has served in the military and yes, we still get WWII Vets, and they want to tell their story--can this be you?
  • Our volunteers learn how to be great partners with their new friend and the "Hospice Care Team" and that the most needed thing is your caring and loving presence.
  • You will provide relief care for the family so that they can take a break, run errands, go to exercise class, and many othere things that they have not be able to do since their loved one became ill.
  • Or you can go to the grocery store for them; help with light meal preparation or light housekeeping.
  • Or you can be that new person in their lives that really wants to hear their life stories and how they got to here--you will become a great listener!
  • All your orientation and training is provided free-of-charge and we will place you with clients in your geographical area--close to home. We can get volunteers started right away with our innovative "Home Study" Program.
  • All it takes is that first phone call to let us know that we have touched you and you want to be a "Hospice" volunteer and a member of our "Hospice Care Team". Ask for Julie Ryan, Volunteer Coordinator @ 480-459-5552.
