You can make an impact in the lives of youth in our community! Research shows that participation in afterschool programs helps narrow the achievement gap by improving kids' work habits, academic performance, self-efficacy, GPA and increased school attendance.
Volunteer "Homework Helpers" provide homework help and academic support to youth living in low-income housing communities served by Interfaith Outreach. Volunteers serve as a positive role model and encourager for kids.
Mature teens (16 or older) and adult volunteers are welcome.
Individuals from diverse backgrounds encouraged to apply; our youth love having mentors and role models who look and sound like them!
