Duties and Responsibilities: The essential duties, responsibilities and activities the volunteer will perform in this position.
- Greet donors as they walk/drive up to donation door
- Assist donors in unloading donations
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Provide good customer service while interacting with donors
- Provide donors with appropriate tax information
- Show appreciation for any and all items donated
- Accurately document donations on sheets provided
- Direct clients to appropriate service area
- Maintain cleanliness of donation door area
- Other duties as assigned.

Free Store/Furniture and Appliance store- provides clothing, household items, and furniture to low- income families at no cost.
Through our mission we are:
addressing the immediate crisis with emergency rent and utility assistance, clothing, household goods, furniture and appliances.
providing counseling, services and support to give families the tools they need to move toward financial stability.
educating the community about the realities of poverty in Mecklenburg County.
