Volunteer Coordinator: 10 hours week
The Volunteer Coordinator will collaborate with the RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program) staff to recruit and assist with placement of variety of senior volunteers in Kitsap County. This position is a wonderful way to learn about the variety of non-profits agencies in Kitsap County and how RSVP volunteers can help the needs of our county.
Qualifications:
Strong language and communication skills, both written and oral.
Ability to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and age groups.
Ability to work both independently and as a team member toward bringing a project to completion.
Experience in volunteer management and training, helpful.
Basic computer skills, Word and Excel and data reporting.

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) provides opportunities for people 55 and over to make a difference in their community through volunteer service. RSVP volunteers contribute anywhere from a few to over forty hours a week, serving through schools, day care centers, police departments, hospitals and other nonprofit and public organizations to help meet critical community needs. RSVP offers maximum flexibility and choice to its volunteers. RSVP matches the personal interests and skills of older Americans with opportunities to help solve community problems and offers supplemental insurance while on duty, and on-the-job training from the agency or organization where volunteers are placed.
