Canine Reading Buddy, Bhindi and Reading Mentor, Christine work with a child at Dog Tales.
Help a child learn to read by volunteering as a registered therapy dog team in our Dog Tales Reading Program offered in libraries throughout Fairfield County. School-age children (ages 6 to 10 yrs) practice their reading skills in a non-judgemental environment. This program is both fun & educational.
Not a registered therapy dog team? No problem....we can help you obtain your registration. All volunteer teams must be registered with Alliance of Therapy Dogs (formerly Therapy Dogs Inc.).
The Connection...Bringing People, Animals and Nature Together's mission is to provide animal-assisted activity/therapy and enrichment programs through literacy and humane education.
