Volunteer will work closely with Executvie Director and Special Events Committee in the planning and execution of our annual "Key Day Event" and identifing, defining, and developing new events to help raise the needed funds to support the organizations programs.
Qualified candidates should be a self-motivated individual able to interact with donors, volunteers and staff will possess a professional,, service-oriented attitude, enthusiastically performing a wide variety of tasks, including: client interaction, event development, project preparation and staffing during business hours and after hours events. Intership will help student gain valuable experience in a non-profit events-driven organiztion.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Organizing invitation mailings, tracking responses, updating event attendee lists.
Assist with event logistics such as setup, breakdown and volunteer management
Secure in-kind donations of goods and services for events.
Assist in organizating silent and live auction for May "Key Day" event.
Assist in the production of event collateral such as invitations and event ad book
Track sponsorship solicitations and follow-ups.
Utilize internet to research event solicitation and other event activities.
Excellent written and oral communication skilss and working knowledge of Microsoft Office and database management skills.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with a high attention to detail.
Other duties as assigned Executive Director or Special Events Committee.
