PURPOSE: Japanese Friendship Garden provides cultural educational classes on a variety of topics including, Go, Kimino Dress, Origami and Japanese food to Kindegarden through 8 th grade schools in San Diego. A coordinator is needed just a few hours a week to assist programs staff to schedule and coordinate efforts to deliver cultural education with the Garden’s talented volunteer base during the school year. NO COURT REFERRALS, STUDENT, OR COMMUNITY SERVICE VOLUNTEERS ARE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS POSITION KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: o Perform word processing activities, including developing and formatting complex documents for School Outreach o Support the enrollment and coordination of schools and volunteers in the program and provided ongoing supervision. Answer calls and coordinate scheduling of classes.
