Be a summer camp counselor at Camp DaKaNi - a 30 acre camp in OKC. Counselors will lead or assist another counselor with a group of children in a positive manner as they participate in all of the camp activities. Counselors and co-counselors are responsible for time management, safety and ensuring that the children have fun!
Training for counselors will be held on April 20 and May 18 from 9:00 am-12:00 pm; attendance at ONE of the training dates is mandatory for individuals who are volunteering for an entire week and leading their own group of campers (contact for details). Attendance for volunteers serving as counselor aids is also encouraged.
Some of the camp activities include boating, fishing, rock climbing, zip-lining, archery, ropes course and outdoor cooking! Camps are Monday-Friday, from 9am - 3:30pm. If you are not able to attend each day of the week, you could volunteer as a counselor's aid! Camp begins every Monday in June and July. Volunteers can assist just a few days, a few hours, or be a counselor for an entire week or all summer!
