Purpose

Work one-on-one to enable seniors to become more comfortable with computers and tablets.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with seniors with varied computer abilities (mostly beginners)
• Guide seniors step by step through Microsoft office, navigating the internet, composing emails and more
• Additional tasks may include assistance with tablets and laptops
• Additional assistance may include leading small group workshops on technology
• Communicate effectively and courteously with JASA seniors and staff

Skills

• Have a good general knowledge of computer operations including internet applications and Microsoft Office.
• Experience working with seniors is helpful, but not required
• Patience
• Strong communication skills

Other

• Flexible scheduling is available with a minimum commitment of one day a week
• Ongoing opportunity
