Fundraising Coordinator

This is a volunteer position. We are an all volunteer organization - there are no paid salaries or consultant fees.

Function

Reports to the Board of Directors. The Fundraiser Coordinator is responsible for independently conducting the day-to-day operational management and implementation of all activities pertaining to fund development and fundraising.

• Provide planning and support for fundraising activities
• Plan and implement key fundraising activities, including:

? Assisting in developing and planning calendar of special events

? Developing an annual fundraising plan and budget

? Developing revenue and expense reports for all fundraiser events after the event is completed

? Liaising with the President and Treasurer for all budget requirements

? Liaising with the Marketing Director and PR/Communications Coordinator to assist in the marketing and promoting of events and facilitating sponsorship

? Liaising with volunteers to ensure events are adequately staffed

? Liaise with the event coordinators and assistants to ensure that digital photographs are taken at each event and supplied to the Website Administrator =

? Liaising with the Website Administrator to ensure that fundraising information is up-to-date on the website at all times

• Search and research potential donors and foundations to identify and evaluate potential funding sources
• Make initial contacts, and follow-through of securing available funding along with the coordination of all optional funding opportunities
• Build and maintain profitable, long-term fundraising relationships with current donors and potential donors

• Ability to independently initiate projects and activities
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent time-management skills with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication, as well as negotiation skills
• Understanding of budget control, expenses, and allocations
• Knowledge of developing a fundraising plan

• Knowledgeable about Alley Cats and Angels’ mission and various programs (detailed information on our mission and various programs will be provided)
• Knowledge of computer programs
