Our business works so people can!
Goodwill Industries of Dallas provides job training and employment to persons with disabilities and disadvantages to help them transform their lives through the power of jobs.
Help support Goodwill's job training program by volunteering as a Computer Literacy Lab Assistant. Classes are hosted by our lead instructors Monday through Friday from 8am-Noon and 12.30pm-4pm. Assistants are needed to help provide more individual attention to our clients during their class time. With your help, we can equip each of our client's with the skills they need to be competitive in the modern day workforce.
Volunteers must complete an application, pass a background check and commit to a regular volunteer shift, preferably at least once a week. Volunteers must be knowledgeable of computers and computer programs to serve in this capacity.
A two hour training is required for all new Computer Literacy Lab Assistants. This training is held once every six weeks. Call 214-638-2800 x244 or email volunteercoordinator@goodwilldallas.org for additional details.
