Hospice of Washington County, Inc. is seeking reliable and compassionate Veterans to make visits to terminally ill Veteran patients in their homes or nursing facilities.
Help improve end-of-life care for Veterans by providing companionship, emotional support, and a listening ear to a fellow Veteran. Our program allows Veterans a unique opportunity to care for other Veterans during end-of-life.
It's important for our volunteers to be: caring, dependable, emotionally mature, and comfortable just being with those at the end of their lives.
Hospice training is provided- we will teach you all you need to know in regards to the hospice approach to death and dying, and how to put these ideas into practice.
