Touch a heart. Give a hug. Listen to family stories.
Community volunteers are essential partners in the success of Hospice by the Bay's mission. For over 40 years, hospice has cared for patients and their caregivers in the San Francisco Bay Area, bringing quality and compassion to end-of-life services.
Our trained volunteers visit in the patients’ homes or in care facilities. They provide support and companionship, relief time for caregivers, help with errands, transportation to appointments, or grocery shopping.
Many of our volunteers find their lives enriched not only by the gift of service, but also by connecting with fellow human beings confronting end-of-life.
We are especially seeking volunteers who can assist patients and familiew in Northern Sonoma County and Vallejo.
In addition, we welcome certified complementary care practitioners to nurture the physical and emotional well-being of patients. Previous experience with chronic illness, cancer patients or the elderly is also required. Must possess appropriate certificate and training in a particular energy work modality.
We invite you to become a vital member of our hospice care team. Your role is unique and one that may provide you meaningful experiences and inspiration.
