Are you a good listener? Are you caring, helpful and adaptable? Do you love being out in the country?
As a Sonoma Hopsice Patient and Family Support Volunteer for Hospice by the Bay you’ll be making a significant difference for someone facing end-of-life challenges. Your meaningful contributions will support the Hospice Care Team by:
> Providing companionship to patients
> Listening to life stories
> Playing their favorite music
> Reading a book
> Writing letters and memories
> Assisting with a favorite activity
> Running an errand or doing small chores
> Accompanying a patient on an outing
In return you’ll learn all about hospice care and receive comprehensive training to prepare you for working with our patients and their families.

We hope you’ll consider joining our caring team! We’re looking volunteers who can visit patients along the Highway 101 corridor (Petaluma, Rohnert Park, Santa Rosa, Windsor) and in more remote areas of west and north Sonoma County. Hospice by the Bay was founded by dedicated volunteers more than 40 years ago and they’re still at the heart of what we do.
