A person on hospice often feels isolated and lonely. As a hospice volunteer, you can become a friend to someone who is in a difficult period of life. A hospice volunteer may also provide support and companionship to a caregiver of a peson on hospice. By helping a hospice patient, you will make a direct impact on their quality of life, and you will make a new friend.
