Description:
- serve as a voting member of the Heritage Place Board of Directors
- assure that funding is sufficient for programs and services
- make governance, planning and financial decisions
- raise funds for the Heritage Place mission
- recruit volunteers for Heritage Place programs, serivices and events
Time Commitment: 1 to 2 hours/month for 9 Board meetings and 1 to 3 hours/month for fundraising event duties. Term is for 3 years.
Special Skills: The successful volunteer will be responsiblie, energetic, follow-through on commitments and believe in the value of older adult education, companionship and lifetime learning.

- a wide variety of educational classes, legal and financial information, health serivces, lifetime learning opportunities and social events
- largest Senior Companion Station in central Indiana with 35 companions who provide 20 hours of friendly visiting services each week to disable homebound older adults
- serves 1,500 older adults annually
- reated as an "Excellent" United Way of Central Indiana member agency
