About

Hospice of Washington County is seeking reliable, compassionate volunteers to make visits to our terminally ill patients and families in their homes or nursing facilities.

Spend time with patients so that family members may have a few free hours to run errands or just relax. Visits may also include reading, talking or just listening, doing projects with a patient, providing quiet presence or simply holding a hand.

It's important for our volunteers to be caring, dependable, emotionally mature, and comfortable just being with those at the end of their lives.

Hospice training is provided- we will teach you all you need to know in regard to the hospice approach to death and dying, and how to put these ideas into practice.
