Do you love the elderly? Are you looking to bring a smile to someone's face? Would you like to make a new friend? If so, Visiting Volunteer with Little Brothers - Friends of the Elderly would be a great volunteer opportunity for you. Our staff work with you to create a lasting friendship with an elder who is lonely and isolated. You commit to visiting the elder twice a month (generally for an hour at a time) to form a friendship that the elder can look forward to and count on. By listening and sharing stories, you create a bond that grows in strength and deepens the friendship over time. Time commitment is two flexible hours a month--you set up the visits during times that work for you and your elder--and we ask that you commit to at least one year visiting your elder.
