There are many ways to help animals at our shelter. Volunteers care for animals directly through assisting with exercise, enrichment, training, socialization and helping keep our kennels clean. They help pets find good homes and assist people in finding their lost pets; they also help our veterinary services team and can foster pets in their own home when they need extra time to grow or recover from injury or illness. They share helpful information with the community about caring for pets and being kind to animals.
Volunteers work side-by-side with shelter staff, and provide much needed help for those programs that improve the quality of life for shelter animals. They allow us to achieve excellence in all that we do for the animals, making the community a better place for both people and pets.
*Please note, we cannot accommodate court-ordered community service at our facility.
