  • Do you enjoy fun activities like baking, watching movies or playing sports?
  • Do you have experience you would like to share?
  • Are you interested in forming a lasting friendship with a young girl?

Come become a Big Sister in our one-to-one mentoring program!

Our largest one-to-one mentoring program matches girls between the ages of 7-15 with a Big Sister. These Little Sisters meet individually with their Big Sisters at a date and time of their choosing, and engage in low- to no-cost activities that can range from baking to basketball, watching movies to simply talking with each other. Big and Little Sisters commit to at least one year together, meeting weekly for the first three months and twice per month after that.

Mission Statement

Big Sister Association of Greater Boston's mission is to help girls realize their full potential by providing them with positive mentoring relationships with women. Our vision is to create a mentor-rich community in which every girl has access to the individual nurturing, guidance and support she needs to become a confident, competent and caring adult. Using research-based best practices, we hope to become a national model for gender-specific mentoring for girls which can be replicated in other mentoring programs. Big Sister is an acknowledged leader in building professionally supported, dynamic relationships between girls and adult women volunteers.
