PawPADs' training facility near Lakeville, MN is used extensively to raise and train our service dogs for placement with people with disabilities and as diabetic alert dogs.
Our Facility Assistant focuses on the physical condition of the Pawsitive Perspectives Assistance Dogs (PawPADs) Training Center, helping to ensure it is in good repair, properly maintained and has a professional appearance. And, hey, PawPADs provides a riding lawnmower, tractor, snow blowers, materials and most tools needed to accomplish nearly any task!
While not necessarily working directly with the dogs, the Facility Assistant works around the dogs...getting plenty of pooch smooches as needed.
It's a fun and beautiful place to spend a few hours each week and may be the perfect opportunity for a retired person or stay-at-home parent to help make a contribution to the community.
If your workplace is looking for a monthly group volunteer service opportunity, contact us and we'll see if this could be adjusted for you!

Mission Statement
We facilitate the power of the human-canine bond, and enhance the lives of others, through the process of training service dogs and the outcome of placing them with people with disabilities.
Description
Pawsitive Perspective's innovative programs were designed to create powerful, life-enhancing experiences through working, and being partnered, with assistance dogs. We place service dogs with wounded warriors, individuals with physical disabilities, diabetic alert dogs, autism service dogs and facility/school resource dogs.
PawPADs utilizes the process of training the dogs as a therapeutic and educational experience through programs such as Project YES! (youth at risk), Prison Road Puppies (inmates) and Paw Corps (veterans).
