Do you love to cook? What better way to support our residents than to come in and cook a tasty meal! Preparing a meal shows the women and children going through this tough time that they have the support of the community and brings HOPE! Sharing your cooking skills is also a great way to lessen the load on our kitchen staff and budget and a homemade meal from your kitchen’s recipe collection is a wonderful treat for our residents!
The project includes menu planning, purchasing and preparing the meal, and clean-up.
Dinner groups can be scheduled weeknights or weekends:
Monday through Friday. we ask groups to arrive around 3:00 to prepare the meal. Dinner is served promptly at 4:30 and lasts until 5:15 pm.
Saturday and Sunday, we ask groups to arrive at 10:00 to prepare the meal. Lunch is served around 11:30am.
Our shelter houses 50 residents - around 20 women and 30 children
