The Ronald McDonald Family Room at Primary Children's Hospital offers a place of relaxation and respite for families of pediatric patients. The Ronald McDonald Family Room is staffed by staff and volunteers. We need people who can serve as host while helping to maintain a friendly, home-like atmosphere in the Family Room.
Specific duties include welcoming families, documenting guest usage, stocking supplies, tidying up the Family Room and lending a sympathetic ear to families. We are in need of weekly commitments for the following shifts 9 AM to 1 PM, 1 PM to 5 PM, 5 pm to 9 PM. Family Room volunteers receive the benefits of Primary Children's Hospital Volunteers. Some of these are: $5 meal voucher, parking or TRAX pass, free uniform, and a free flu shot.

Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC), a non-profit, 501 (c) (3) corporation, creates, finds and supports programs that directly improve the health and well being of children. Its programs are grassroots-driven to enable the charity to offer help where children need it most - right in their own communities. RMHC makes an immediate, positive impact on children's lives through its global network of local Chapters in 52 countries and its three core programs: the Ronald McDonald House, Ronald McDonald Family Room and Ronald McDonald Care Mobile. These programs provide a bridge to accessible health care and allow families more time together, which help in the healing process. RMHC and its global network of local Chapters also have awarded more than $460 million in grants and program services to children's programs around the world.
