Pasado’s Safe Haven is a non-profit animal welfare organization and sanctuary located in Monroe, Washington, and dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of dogs, cats, and farmed animals.
Most of our sanctuary residents were once victims of abuse and/or neglect, but all are now able to live out their lives in peace and with the love and safety deserved by all animals.
If you don't mind rolling up your sleeves, love animals, and are handy or just like working with your hands, consider becoming a facilities maintenance volunteer with Pasado's Safe Haven. Located on 85 acres in the Cascade Foothills, the sanctuary cosists of a complete working farm, "Kitty City" house, and "Dog Towne" cabin community. With over 200 rescued and recovering animals at any given time, the facilities are always in need of upkeep: painting, fence building, landscaping, and much more. Handy animal lovers are always needed and welcome!

Mission Statement
Pasado’s Safe Haven is dedicated to ending animal cruelty. We rescue dogs, cats and farmed animals from abuse and neglect, advocate for better treatment of these animals by society and promote laws and personal choices that eliminate suffering for animals.
Description
At Pasado’s volunteers and staff work together to maintain and nurture this beautiful sanctuary and home to so many animals. Without the support of our volunteers Pasado’s would not be able to give these animals the safe and loving life they deserve.
If you are interested in becoming part of our volunteer team and would like to help provide better lives for the animals at Pasado’s, we want to get you involved. It’s takes a certain level of commitment to be a Pasado’s Volunteer, including an orientation and training within each field. The greater your commitment the better it is for the animals. It is the bonds they form, the care they receive, and the hard work of you, the volunteer, that will help these animals find new homes and live out happy lives.
Pasado’s works tirelessly on behalf of animals. Our programs include:
Sanctuary: Providing sanctuary and rehabilitation to dogs, cats and farmed animals who have suffered from abuse or neglect.
Animal Cruelty Investigation & Rescue: Investigating and exposing cases of animal cruelty, while serving as a resource to law enforcement and animal control.
Advocacy: Advocating for stronger laws to protect animals and promote the enforcement of existing laws.
Education: Educating the public about animal cruelty and what can be done to help end animal suffering.
Spay/Neuter: Ending companion animal homelessness through targeted spay/neuter, foster, adoption, and education programs.
