VITAS Healthcare seeks volunteers in Bessemer/West Jefferson County area with basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and landscaping skills to help improve the quality of life of hospice patients and their families. Minor home repairs may include wheelchair ramps, installing safety bars, or fixing a drip. Yardwork includes mowing, weeding, and trimming shrubs.
