If thoughts about food, wine, and making a lasting postive impact on a child's life get you excited, this event is for you!
Casa de Amparo would like to invite you to join our volunteer team for our annual Meet the Chefs event at the Hilton of Del Mar on Sunday, April 23. We will need volunteers in various shifts from 10:30am to 5:30 pm to help this event go smoothly. We will also need volunteers on Friday, April 21 from 10 am to 4:00 pm to help with set-up for this event.
Established in 1978, Casa de Amparo is recognized as a major force in the treatment and prevention of child abuse and neglect in San Diego County.
Casa de Amparo is a vivid example of the difference a few can make in addressing a large and challenging need. Our founders were a small group of local women concerned about domestic violence and the welfare of children. Led by an official of the Women’s Resource Center, and supported by local police, this small team pushed for a crisis nursery for children affected by or at risk of child abuse...and Casa de Amparo was born. All of the proceeds of Meet the Chefs will directly support Casa de Amparo's programs.More opportunities with Casa de Amparo

Description
Established in 1978, Casa de Amparo (Home of Protection ) is recognized as a leader in treating and preventing child abuse and neglect in San Diego County and beyond, with locations in Oceanside and San Marcos. The non-profit organization annually serves over 1,000 Casa Kids, from prenatal to 25 years old, as well as over 900 families, through six integrated programs that promote healing, growth, and healthy relationships. These programs include Residential Services , Counseling Services , Family Visitation , Hayward Child Development Center , New Directions , and Young Parent Network . Casa de Amparo is the San Diego Chargers Courage House, part of a national network of NFL teams and local charities dedicated to the prevention of child abuse.
