The Hershey Children's Garden is rich with interactive educational experiences that ignite curiosity about the natural world and foster a love of gardens and gardening among children of all ages, abilities, and interests. As a prototype for child-centered learning environments, the garden serves as a living laboratory and provides sensory-rich experiences that promote life-long learning.
Hershey Children's Garden Program Assistants can help our staff with different programs, such as Art in the Garden, Pond Exploration, Bug Exploration, and others. These programs provide additional enrichment to visitors in the garden.
Outcomes/Impact:
- Educate children about nature, and plants and animals that are a part of nature
- Increase opportunities to directly connect families to the wonder and beauty of plants and trees
