KYRS is currently seeking a Treasurer to oversee financial aspects of the station. This is a volunteer board member posistion with a three year commitment. Duties include: creating and maintaining financial reports, assessing and reporting fiscal health to the board, ensuring bookkeeper duties are completed in a timely manner, assisting financial committee with yearly budget to be presented to the board.

KYRS-Thin Air Community Radio is a volunteer-powered, non-commercial, listener-supported, community radio station based out of Spokane, WA. serving the surrounding areas with unique programming for un-served and underserved populations. Heard on 92.3 & 88.1 FM and streaming live 24/7 at www.kyrs.org. We provide a mix of news, views, culture and music often overlooked by other media.

Qualifications: Financial/accounting background, willingness to commit time for board meetings and other events, prefered experience as board treasurer for other organization, familiarity with accounting for nonprofits a plus, experience as board treasurer of another organization, comfortable in collaborative, consensus-oriented environment.

Thin Air's arts, cultural, and music programming covers a wide spectrum of expression from traditional to experimental and reflects the diverse cultures Thin Air serves. Thin Air Radio strives for spontaneity and program excellence, both in content and technique.

Thin Air Community Radio is run almost entirely by volunteers from the community, people like you who have a passion for independent music and ideas. All locally produced programs are hosted by volunteers.
