When you deliver for Meals on Wheels, you fight senior hunger, provide a regular check-in, and make hearts happy, including your own!

As a driver you get to take hot meals to clients who are primarily homebound or unable to prepare nutritious meals. All of them enjoy a smiling face and look forward to seeing a volunteer driver for some friendly conversation. Volunteers use their own car and gas. Regular drivers are assigned the same route every week and have to opportunity to get to know the clients. Directions are provided. Actual meal delivery take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour depending on the size of the route.

The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) of Volunteers of America provides volunteer opportunities for individuals 55 years and older to use their skills, insight and lifetime experiences to assist residents and non-profit agencies in the county. RSVP also offers a variety of programs which provide services and enhance the quality of life for seniors.
