Are you in need of office experience? Do you wish to help the families and caregivers of hospice patient's but would prefer to serve behind the scenes? Filing, Phones, Auditing Files, Document Preparation, and more! Past administrative experience is not required. Office volunteers can also choose to represent Heartland in community settings, including but not limited to health fairs. Your help in the office is greatly appreciated and ensures our staff can devote more time to our patients and a greater quality of overall care. Although our clinical team provides patient support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, our physical office is open M-F between the hours of 8-5. You pick and choose your hours and your tasks! Description
Hospice is a concept of care designed to provide comfort and support to patients and their families in the last phase of life. Hospice care seeks to enable patients to carry on in a comfortable, pain-free manner so that their last months may be spent with dignity and quality. Hospice neither prolongs life nor hastens death. It provides its specialized knowledge of pain control, medical care, and psychological, emotional and spiritual support in a comprehensive manner, in an environment that includes family and friends.
