Do you have the gift for music? Can you sing? Can you play an instrument? Do you have an extensive collection of music to be shared? If so, please consider volunteering with Heartland Hospice. Our patients find so much joy in having visitors who are willing to share the gift of music with them, in any of its forms. Be a light in the life of a patient suffering from advanced illness. If you have any questions please call us at 706-860-7374 and ask to speak with the Volunteer Coordinator. We are extremely flexible!

The mission of Heartland Hospice is to provide quality hospice care to patients with a limited life expectancy, as well as support to their caregivers. The quality of life for those we serve is enhanced through palliative and specialized supportive care designed to meet the physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of the patients and caregivers.
Description
Hospice is a concept of care designed to provide comfort and support to patients and their families in the last phase of life. Hospice care seeks to enable patients to carry on in a comfortable, pain-free manner so that their last months may be spent with dignity and quality. Hospice neither prolongs life nor hastens death. It provides its specialized knowledge of pain control, medical care, and psychological, emotional and spiritual support in a comprehensive manner, in an environment that includes family and friends.
