The Junior Blind Olympics allows hundreds of youth, ages 6-22, who are blind, visually impaired or multi-disabled, to compete for medals in 11 adaptive sports. The event provides the opportunity for all youth, despite their disabilities, to participate in confidence-building activities. By participating in the Junior Blind Olympics, these youth have the freedom to discover how sports can be the vehicle to allow them to explore the greatness of their own abilities, question the limitations imposed by society, and achieve further independence - by developing a belief in themselves, they return to a sighted world feeling like champions.

There are many volunteer opportunities at the Junior Blind Olympics! Whether you're interested in being an athlete escort (coach), facilitating a competition, doing registration or food service, running the carnival games or stuffing goody bags, there are many ways to get involved.
