Volunteers participate in a variety of projects including event planning, fundraising, representing the OLC at community meetings and administrative work, classroom & lesson preparation, maintenance and ongoing support of the facility including landscaping & gardening. The responsibilities and time commitment vary depending upon the project and specific interests of the volunteer. Have an idea of something you would like to do? This is a great position for you!

Mission Statement

The Inland Northwest Nature Connection in partnership with West Valley Outdoor Learning Center unite community and nature through education and recreation programs that cultivate an informed and engaged community.

Description

As an experiential education center, our goal is to connect students of all ages to nature. We do this through educational programs, special events, outreach programs like our Hawk and Owl Outreach Talks, and by the day-to-day care of the center’s grounds, buildings and educational animals that keep the OLC a must-see place for families, school groups and organizations.
