Lucky Dog Animal Rescue is having an adoption event Sunday, April 9th at the Rockville PetSmart (5154 Nicholson Ln, Kensington, MD 20895).
Volunteers can check-in starting at 11:15am and should plan to stay until 3:30pm.
When we receive your inquiry about volunteering, we'll send you a confirmation email and then closer to the event date we'll send some additional information specific to volunteering at that event.
Please note that you must be 18 years old to handle and anyone under the age of 18 must have a parent present at all times (and if assigned a dog to handle, the parent must be the one physically holding the dog's leash).

Mission Statement
Lucky Dog Animal Rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing homeless and abandoned animals, primarily dogs from high-kill shelters and owners who can no longer care for them. By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, local veterinarians, trainers, and boarding facilities, we are able to rescue hundreds of animals every year, provide them with loving temporary care, and find them well-matched, carefully screened forever homes. We also serve as a resource to our community and all pet owners by providing education and information on responsible pet ownership, including the importance of spay/neuter, positive behavior training, and good nutrition.

About Us
Lucky Dog Animal Rescue is an all-volunteer, non-profit animal rescue organization dedicated to saving the lives of homeless animals and educating the community on responsible pet ownership. Lucky Dog does not have its own facility. Instead, our dogs stay with temporary fosters (and occasionally boarding partners) while they wait to find their forever home. We hold adoption events each week where you can see the Lucky Dogs strut their stuff, and we also arrange private meetings for adopters who fall in love with a pup's internet photo. Our volunteers are more than just volunteers, and our dogs are more than just dogs. We are a family. And we welcome you to become a part!
