MBIC New Brand

MBIC Clubhouse is seeking Occupational Therapists (OTs) and Physical Therapists (PTs) to volunteer their time and expertise to support our community. Our members, ranging from young adults to seniors, experience various physical and cognitive challenges, and benefit greatly from the insights and support provided by trained professionals. Whether you're a licensed therapist or a student in these fields, your knowledge and skills are invaluable in enhancing our members' daily experiences.

About MBIC Clubhouse

MBIC provides a supportive environment where members with disabilities and cognitive challenges can engage in daily tasks and group activities. The clubhouse is a dynamic setting where every day offers a new opportunity to make a positive impact on our members' lives.

Role and Responsibilities

As a volunteer OT or PT, you will:

  • Assist members with their scheduled tasks and activities, providing support and encouragement as they navigate their day.
  • Participate in various roles, such as outing chaperones or group activity supporters, applying your unique skills to enhance member engagement and safety.
  • Use your professional background to provide insights into our members' needs, helping to advocate for them and optimize their interaction within the clubhouse.
  • Engage with members to better understand their abilities and challenges, fostering a supportive atmosphere that promotes independence and well-being.

Opportunities Beyond Direct Care

For those OTs and PTs interested in contributing outside of direct member interaction, there are opportunities to:

  • Assist in the development and enhancement of our programs and operational strategies.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of activities that align with your expertise, supporting the broader goals of the clubhouse.
  • Use your professional skills to help expand and structure our services, ensuring they are as effective and beneficial as possible.

Why Volunteer With Us?

Volunteering at MBIC Clubhouse is an enriching experience that not only allows you to give back to the community but also deepens your understanding of diverse medical needs. It's a chance to:

  • Apply your professional skills in real-world settings.
  • Gain valuable experience working with a unique demographic.
  • Expand your professional network and enhance your resume.
  • Contribute to a cause that relies on the strength of compassionate, skilled volunteers to achieve its mission.
