FHS rescues stray and abandoned cats and dogs. We provide food, shelter, medical care, and socialization until they can be placed in forever homes. We also promote spay/neuter in order to control pet overpopulation.
We need volunteers to foster homeless cats and/or dogs, work at fundraisers, conduct food drives, do laundry, handle administrative tasks, work pet adoptions at the Peachtree City PetSmart, transport animals to/from adoptions and veterinary appointments.
FHS also coordinates with Fayette County Animal Control to practice Trap/Neuter/Return as the preferred solution to complaints about community cats.
